St. Tarcissus Parish is proud to announce Andrew and Judith Castiglioni as the worthy recipients of the Christifideles Award. The Christifideles Award is given to Catholic laypeople who, by participating in parish life, have demonstrated the personal and ministerial renewal called for by the papal exhortation “Christifideles Laici,” calling the laity to the “vocation of responsibility for the church’s life springing from the gift and mission of their baptism.” They were honored to receive the Christifideles Award from Cardinal Cupich during a ceremony at Holy Name Cathedral on October 29, 2017. Judith and Andrew’s own words about their involvement at St. Tarcissus: “We received the sacrament of marriage at Queen of All Saints Basilica in 2013 and joined parish life at Saint Tarcissus in 2015. Our participation in several ministries including: Adoration, SPRED, high school confirmation, the seminarian teaching parish program, and the Pastoral Council has reaffirmed our vocation as Catholics. Through these ministries, we have developed both a deep appreciation for the past strengths of Saint Tarcissus and a strong commitment to the vitality our parish can achieve as it confidently moves forward into the future.”
