Pictures and Videos of Previous Events Parish General - First Annual Northwest Side Green Fest was a Success!
We collected 79 monitors, 37 hard drives, 67 TVs and lots of batteries, remotes, keyboards, and various items. Some of you may have a whole new room to actually use after clearing out your old 'stuff'! And, lots of "garbage" will be re-used instead of going to a landfill somewhere. Awesome! Thanks also to those that attended, participated in our raffle and enjoyed the products of our vendors and demonstrators. It is amazing the inventiveness and beauty people all over the world create using recycled materials and natural ingredients. A big Thank you goes out to all the volunteers; Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, teens, kids that just wanted to help out, and numerous parishioners that worked hard with our Green Team to keep things running smoothly. We could not have done it without you! Thanks also to Chase Bank for additional parking. We collected over $500 from the raffle and donations and over $200 from the metal drive. Watch around the Parish for improved collection of various items, natural or recyclable, that we are able to purchase with the proceeds. This is something God asked us to do, take care of and cherish the world he created for us. Please continue to clean up the mess we've all created and make this world better for future generations. Thank you for all your contributions that may be refurbished for those less fortunate to use. It was a win win: you rid your house/apt/garage of unused items and someone may be able to put your old items to good use.
