Congratulations 8th Grade! Congratulations, again, to our 8th grade Academic Bowl Team. Our academic bowl team participated in the Notre Dame academic bowl and we advanced to the finals. We are so proud of the team - members are Isabella Salerno, Margaret Garrity, Declan Gillespie, George Ohanessian, Ryan Konrad, Leo McNaughton, and Zachary Swanson.
Investigating the Solar System Third grade is finishing their study of the solar system by making lap books which encompass all the things they have studied, including phases of the moon, the planets, constellations, rotation of the Earth, and the seasons. The third grade completes their examination of our solar system with a trip to the Adler Planetarium to learn more about the universe that we live in.
Movie Under the Stars! Some of our Kindergarten, First and Second Graders participated in our Movie Under the Stars event. Children brought blankets and their flashlights as they “camped out” in our Duggan Auditorium to watch Monsters Inc on a Thursday afternoon. The event was one of the many school sponsored raffle prizes that were available at the St. Tarcissus’ Silent Auction.
Third Grade Spanish Class The third grade is very busy learning Spanish with Mrs. Martinez as they prepare to work on projects in preparation for Dia De Los Muertos or “Day of the Dead”. Dia De Los Muertos is a holiday that is observed around the world in other cultures which focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. |
