Red Ribbon Week focuses on making good decisions in leading a Drug Free and Healthy Lifestyle and the theme for the week was “Drug Free is the Key”. During the week, students wore Good Character and Drug Free ribbons, wrote essays and drew pictures relating to healthy choices, and made posters and signed contracts promising to lead a drug free life. The highlight of the week was a visit from the Chicago Bears mascot Staley. Staley was the star of the assembly “First and Goal: How to Score a Touchdown for a Healthy Life”. Staley taught our K- 6th grade students about eating healthy, drinking lots of water, getting proper rest, and being physically active. Staley was great fun, our students loved the assembly and learned a lot too.
