PETER'S PENCE COLLECTION June 29-30 at all Masses The Peter’s Pence Collection has ancient roots that reach all the way back to New Testament times. The early Christians provided material support that the disciples could distribute to those in need (see Acts 4:34-35, 11:29). Today, the Peter’s Pence Collection is the way we, as members of the Catholic Church, unite ourselves to the concerns of the Holy Father. On June 29-30, we will take up this annual collection which supports the charitable works of Pope Francis for the relief of those most in need around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and natural disasters.
