Let’s go to the Holy Land!

| When? |
November 29th thru December 8th, 2010 |
| Who? |
This trip is being offered to St. Tars parishioners, friends and relatives who would like to take a pilgrimage to the sacred places of Jesus’ life. Our guides will be Father Chuck Faso, OFM and Kieran Lyons. We will also be joined by Father Simon Braganza. |
Hic est is translated from Latin means this is the place. In November 2009, the Saint Tarcissus Parish had the opportunity to go to the Holy Land. When we crossed the Sea of Galilee, stood on the Mount of the Beatitudes, celebrated mass in Nazareth at place where Mary lived, I just kept saying, “this is the place.” Walking the markets of the Old City of Jerusalem, praying the Stations of the Cross along the Via Dolorosa, and wading in the Red Sea all stir such real connections with our religious history. It is amazing to see it all come alive right before your eyes.
We will pilgrimage to the sacred sites of Galilee, Jerusalem, Nazareth and many other holy places. The trip includes daily mass, and incredible touring of the land where Jesus lived and died. A boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, the old city of Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, the Mount of the Beatitudes, the home of the Virgin Mary and the Via Dolorosa are some of the places we will visit.
Our guide Father Chuck Faso, OFM has visited the Holy Land 27 times and leads an unforgettable trip. Also, Father Simon Braganza will also be joining us!
I loved the trip to the Holy Land so much last November I am a part of a team offering a trip to St. Tars parishioners next November 29th thru December 8th. Our pilgrimage will be hosted by Kieran Lyons and Father Chuck Faso, OFM. Both have been to the Holy Land many times and make the trip an experience of a lifetime. We pray, we laugh, we celebrate daily mass and have the profound experience of being in the places Jesus lived and taught and died.
