Friendship Presbyterian Church
5849 N. Nina Ave. |
Sunday, September 27
12:30 pm Registration / 1:30 pm Walk begins |
This is a 4-mile walk to raise consciousness and funds for world hunger. Raising pledges or making a donation is part of the walk, but is not mandatory. Take steps to end world hunger.
Ask family and friends to sponsor you.
Collect pledge money and bring it with you on Walk Day. 75% of the money collected goes to national and world hunger needs through Church World Service. The remaining 25% of the proceeds stays in the Chicago area, divided among soup kitchens and food pantries. |
| Every Penny Counts! |
Get a jar and start saving your pennies and spare change!
All donations will be given to Catholic Charities to help homeless children here in the Chicago area. Confirmation candidates will advertise the campaign around the parish, introduce the drive at weekend masses October 3rd and 4th and collect before and after all masses on the weekends of October 10th and 11th and November 14th and 15th.
Our goal is $2010. Together we can do it!
Mrs. Brady will be discussing this and handling the sign up directly with the candidates once school has started. |
