ST. TARCISSUS CATHOLIC SCHOOL TO HOST EARLY CHILDHOOD OPEN HOUSES AND REGISTRATION
The St. Tarcissus Catholic School Early Childhood Center, 6040 West Ardmore, will be hosting an Open Houses for prospective preschool and kindergarten students and their families on Friday, April 25, 2008 from 9-11AM and 1-2:30 PM.
The St. Tarcissus Early Childhood Center offers programs for 3 & 4 year old preschoolers as well as full and half-day kindergarten. Three year-old Preschool meets for a half-day session twice a week in the morning and the four year-old Preschool meets for a half-day three or five times a week with morning or afternoon options available.
The school offers extended day care options for their students with care being available from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
All are invited to come and see what St. Tarcissus Early Childhood Center is all about. Teachers, Administrators and current Early Childhood Parents will be on hand to answer questions.
Registration for new students will take place on all days that school is in session during the hours of 9 -11 a.m. and 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the School Office. A copy of the child’s birth certificate, baptismal certificate, and social security card are required for registration. Children must be age appropriate by September 1, 2008. Non-refundable Registration fees of $100 for Pre-school, $160 for Kindergarten and $200 for grades 1 to 8 are required at the time of registration.

St. Tarcissus School is now in the process of registering NEW CHILDREN to our school for the 2008-09 school year.
Currently, we are registering children in preschool programs (3 year and 4 year olds) and kindergarten full day or 1/2 day classes, as well as new students in grades 1-8.

PLEASE REMEMBER - to qualify for enrollment, children must have attained their entrance age of 3, 4, or 5 years by September 1, 2008. Underage children will not be admitted.

A child entering Pre-School or Kindergarten must be three, four or five by September 1st respectively. Underage children will not be admitted.
An official copy of birth certificate, the Baptismal record (if applicable), and a record of compliance with local and State of Illinois Health requirements are required to complete the registration of new students along with a copy of the student’s current school assessment. Admission to grades 1 to 8 also requires a report card from the previous year.
The school may decline to enroll an applicant whose special needs may not be well-served by the program or staff of the school. Such decisions shall be at the Principal's discretion after consultation with the Pastor, faculty, or other appropriate individuals or agencies.
Children of currently enrolled families are given first priority, followed by children of parishioners, and then transfer students from other Catholic schools. Children of non-parishioners and transfer students from public schools will be accepted if space is available.
Archdiocesan schools do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, or national and ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, loan programs, athletics, or other school-administrated programs.
St. Tarcissus Catholic School admits students of any race, color, sex, creed, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally made available. Enrollment is open, as space and resources exist, to the children of the parish and to other children of the community whose parents subscribe to the educational philosophy of the school.
REGISTRATION
We begin our registration process in December/January. A Registration Day for Preschool, Kindergarten, and new families is held in January or February.
Before registration is accepted, parents/guardians seeking parishioner status must contact the rectory to show that they reside in the parish or have permission from the Pastor to register in school. Parents receiving parishioner tuition rates must use their church envelopes on a regular basis. A $100.00 quarterly fee will be assessed if envelopes are not used.
An official copy of the child's birth certificate must be presented at the time of registration or before acceptance is granted. St. Tarcissus Catholic School complies with all State requirements concerning enrollment (Archdiocesan Policy).
Each child requesting admission to PreK through Grade 8 must provide:
1. An official copy of the Birth Certificate
2. Baptismal Certificate
3. Completed registration and enrollment forms
4. Dental and Physical examinations and immunizations required by Illinois State Law.
5. Appropriate transfer forms.
6. Academic records (will follow from former school)
7. Appropriate non-refundable fees.
8. A copy of the child’s Social Security card.
