Welcome to our School EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM (EDP). We offer our extended day program to any registered 3 year Pre-K through Grade 6 student. (Pre-K children must be toilet trained and be able to be separated from parent for a short time.) Students in grades 7 & 8are welcome to help in EDP after school. If you have any questions, please let us know.

EDP is available from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm on ALL SCHOOL FULL DAYS. Please check school newsletters if there are any special EDP schedules.
 
On days when we are closed, make arrangements for care with a relative, school parent or junior high babysitter.

Overall Registration/Payment Guidelines
Registration Fee
In order to use EDP, families pay a non-refundable registration fee. The fee is $15 for the first child and $10 for each additional child. This fee is used to help cover some of the costs of operating the program.
 
Hours and Costs
Parents PREPAY for the use of the program. We require at least 2 days notice in order to properly staff the program. Weekly program sheets should be returned by noon on Friday preceding the upcoming school week. Families NOT giving at least 2 days notice of their schedule for EDP will be assessed a higher pay rate. See late entry in parentheses.
If  there is a family member who has a special scheduling need, we will consider waiving the late weekly registration charge to accommodate erratic work schedules.

Hourly Rate
If a parent only needs EDP for 1-2 hours a day, the cost is $5.00 per hour ($6.00 per hour if schedule sheet is not in at least 2 days ahead of time.) For more than 2 hours of EDP, please pay the full fee for your time block. MINIMUM OF ONE HOUR IS REQUIRED. If you have 3 or more children at a time slot, please see co-director for fee explanations.
Late Fees
An added $10.00 LATE FEE will be charged for every 30 minute period after 3:00pm that the child is in EDP unless a parent had signed up for the 2:45pm-6pm slot.
Miscellaneous Fees
Please note any requests for statements regarding payments made to the EDP must be submitted in writing with an attached$10 fee for processing. Five school days minimum must be allowed for these requests.
Refunds
We will only credit EDP payments if a child was absent from school. If you choose to sign up for more than one week at a time, you may not request a refund of money unless a child is not in school on any day. When calling our child in sick, PLEASE also leave a message for EDP.
Returned Checks
There will be a $25 fee for checks returned for ANY reason.
 
What Students Need for Extended Day Program
7:30am-2:45pm Session
~ A labeled set of casual clothes (seasonal)
~ A bag to carry items in
~ A packed lunch if the child is here from 11am-Noon (Lunches may be ordered from our Hot Lunch Program provided you follow the ordering schedule. This can only be done on a weekly basis.)
~A snack and/or beverage (children can bring 25 cents to purchase milk for lunch.)
~ favorite toys/games - only 1 or 2 (please label these)
2:45pm -6pm Session
~ A snack and/or beverage. Please try to send finger foods (nothing for the microwave)
~ Favorite toys/games (please label these)
~ Change of clothes (optional) for daily play

How do I sign up each week?
~ Parents pick up weekly registration form indicating the times/days they need for the upcoming week.
~ Attach payment with your registration form.
~ Return the form by Noon on Fridays (Noon on Thursdays or the last day of the school week if we don't have school Friday.)
 
WE NEED TO STAY A WEEK AHEAD WITH REGISTRATIONS IN ORDER TO PROPERLY STAFF THE PROGRAM!
 
You can pick up your weekly registration forms in Room 100, at the office or click on the link below to print one online.
 
We will accept children in at the "last minute" if it is an EMERGENCY. Payment is due at the time of pick p or by the next school day. Please pay the higher fees for such emergency requests.

EDP WILL NOT BE PROVIDED IF PAYMENT IS NOT UP TO DATE.
You will be notified to pick up your child if you do not submit full payment with your weekly schedule.
 
*IF PAYMENTS ARE NOT UP TO DATE AT THE END OF A TRIMESTER, REPORT CARDS WILL BE HELD AND MAY RESULT IN CHILD/REN NOT BEING READMITTED TO SCHOOL.

How the Extended Day Program Operates
The program is staffed by certified and caring teachers and adults. Children will receive academic and recreational guidance.

Sessions include time for games, children's video's, homework, arts & crafts, etc. If a parent wants homework done before the child goes home, please send is a note so the EDP supervisor is made aware of this.

For families interested in a FULL DAY school program for their child, our Extended Day Program is ideal. During their EDP time, children are given many fun planned learning activities that enrich their regular school day. We engage children in special projects, story time, large motor skill activities and games.
 
Children stay within the Parish/School grounds for the most part. If they do leave to go to a nearby park or on a walk, it is always with at least 2 adults present. If a parents prefers that a child not leave the premises, note this on the ENROLLMENT FORM.

Entering/Exiting EDP
Children entering/exiting throughout the day use the EDP door. Ring the bell marked EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM. If we are away from the bell area, a special sign will be posted. By 4:00pm, children are back inside for the most part.

General Guidelines

1. Please remember to notify EDP in writing when your child is to be picked up by someone other than those listed on the authorized pick-up list. A contact phone number is necessary. The adult picking up your child must present a photo I.D. Your child will not be released without a note from you. A phone call from you will not be sufficient authorization.

2. Please be sure to keep your authorized pick-up list updated. Any changes must be in writing. A phone call is not sufficient authorization.

3. Please try to arrange play dates in advance. CHILDREN ARE NEVER ALLOWED TO CALL ON THEIR OWN TO DO THIS. We must have a note from you with a contact phone number if plans have changed and your child is to go home with someone else and will not attend EDP.

4. If your child(ren) are scheduled for an after school activity on the day they are signed up for EDP (i.e. Brownies, Boy Scouts, sports, choir, etc) and will be leaving from and/or returning to EDP, you must notify us in writing with the time they will be leaving and/or returning. ALSO, YOUR CHILD MUST SIGN IN WITH EDP FIRST.
 
5. Please always remember to notify EDP when your home, work and/or emergency phone numbers change. This is very important.
