HELPING OUR SCHOOL
As St. Tarcissus School prepares for the start of a new school year, some fundraising ideas have developed and we would like to forward this information to you.
Since Target started the "Take Charge of Education" program, St. Tarcissus School has received $8,902.28. There are 307 Target charge card holders that have designated St. Tarcissus School as their choice to receive a 1% cash back on all purchases made at all Target stores or at Target.com. So far, our next donation amount is at $783.44. This total can be greatly improved because Target has increased their cash back amount to 2% on all purchases through September 10, 2005.
If you have a Target charge and have not designated a school for the cash back percentage, please consider St. Tarcissus School. If you use your Target Visa for purchases anywhere else, we earn 1/2%. If you plan on shopping at target, consider using your Target charge. Please spread the word to grandparents, neighbors and friends.
Dominick's will be donating 10% of your grocery purchases of participating products to St. Tarcissus School every time you shop through September 6, 2005. Any product purchased displaying the yellow school bus logo qualifies and there are over 1,700 products eligible in the program. Be sure to use your Safeway Club Card each time you shop at Dominick's and the company will track your purchases. When you return on your first visit after September 6, you will receive a Rewards Coupon with your register receipt. There will be a redemption code that you forward to the St. Tarcissus School office and we will redeem those codes for our grand total. Redemption codes will only be available through October 11, 2005. This is a tremendous opportunity for our school so, happy shopping!
Paper Recycling Bins
A reminder to all using the recycling bins -- PLEASE, ONLY PLACE NEWSPAPERS, MAGAZINES AND MAIL in these bins. NO cardboard, string or plastic bags of any kind can be in these containers. Of these items are in our bins when the shipment arrives at the recycling center, it can be disqualified and we will not receive credit for that load. A special thank you to all that are recycling. We now have a pickup every week and both bins are usually filled each week.
