School Mission Statement

St. Tarcissus Catholic School exists to teach and foster the Gospel message of Jesus. We provide opportunities for the spiritual, intellectual, physical and social development of each child. Our school is called to serve students, their families and the entire St. Tarcissus parish community.

School Philosophy

St. Tarcissus Catholic School dedicates itself to the following beliefs:

  • The Gospel message of Jesus Christ will be the hallmark of St. Tarcissus Catholic School.
  • Our students will strive to be lifelong learners.
  • Students, teachers, and parents will work together and support each other in all endeavors.
  •  We, as teachers, will respect and celebrate the individual differences and ability levels among our students.
  • Students will develop a sense of responsibility for themselves, their community, and the world through service to others.
  • Academic and professional growth will be encouraged and applauded.

St. Tarcissus Catholic School implements its philosophy through various educational modes and techniques. Teachers utilize innovative educational strategies in order to enhance students learning and mastery of skills. Included in these strategies are the following: authentic assessment, integrated curriculum units, cooperative learning experiences, thematic units, individualized program, and integration of technology into the learning process.
