Welcome Parents and Students to Room 207

This year I will be teaching Religion to all the Junior High Students.

8th Grade – The 8th grade students will focus on Church History, Comparative Religions, the Liturgical Year, the History of the Church in America and their own Spiritual Lives.  This material will be covered by using various strategies.  We will read, research, experience and observe the story of the Church.  There will be daily assignments, long range projects, 3 research papers (1 each trimester) and testing on a biweekly basis.

We will read the powerful novel Night by Elie Wiesel and another novel to be announced.

7th Grade – The 7th grade will spend part of the year August till January focusing on Confirmation (you all know about that!!).  The second part of the year will be focused on the story of Jesus.  We will study the Gospel, the epistles and the lives of the saints.  We will test 2 times a month.

We will study the life of Christ, read, meditate and focus on spiritual direction.  We will be performing several plays this year.

The coolest thing about Religion class is that it encompasses so much.  There is art, music, history, writing, biography, and even science found in Religion class.  It is this special class that defines us—other schools will have math or reading but only St. Tars can give you the amazing experience of our faith in this class.

I am so thrilled to be teaching Religion this year.  Email me anytime-- NBrady8415@yahoo.com

You are welcome to Room 207 throughout the year!
