6th Grade Social Studies

Textbook: World History -Journey Across Time– Glencoe

I would like to welcome everyone back to a fun and wonderful year! I am so excited about working with your 6th grader this year in Social Studies. I have many wonderful and exhilarating projects planned to bring life to our study of World History. We will start our journey by learning about the Early Civilizations. We will then move on to the Ancient World, New Empires & New Faiths. Time permitting; I would also like to touch on the Industrial Revolution, World War I and World War II.

Our books are online. If you would like to check this feature out please go to www.jat.glencoe.com when you get to the site you will be asked to select your book (please choose the purple book). Our book is the 2006 edition. It will then ask for a User Name & Password. The User Name is JAT2006. The Password is Uv8NBZA2. You must type in the exact letters using capital or lower case letters or it will not allow you in. The site also offers study guides and practice quizzes. Take advantage of the site if you can! The book is pretty heavy so it might help!
