v     Study of assigned vocabulary

v     Active participation on class

v     Completion of all assignments

v     Completion of all long term assignments and projects

v     Grades will be based on: completion of class work and homework by the due date, class participation, projects, quizzes and chapter tests.

Assignments are written daily on a “Homework Board” in my classroom. Assignments can also be found online and accessed daily.

I feel that parents are the key to making homework a positive experience for their children. Therefore, I ask that you make homework a top priority, set up a daily homework time, provide praise/support, and not let your child avoid homework.

I am looking forward to a very positive and productive year working with you and your child. I am always available to discuss the progress of your child. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. The learning progress of your child is very important to me.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Powers
